Disease Damage

Mycoplasma Pneumoniae is a Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Children

Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia accounts for approximately 10%-40% of the incidence of CAP in children and is a clinical condition of widespread concern to pediatricians.

Children are immunocompromised and without early treatment are highly susceptible to develop severe MPP, which ultimately leads to death.

Therefore, enhancing the early diagnosis of MPP in children is the key to disease control and treatment.

Advantages
Use RNA as biomarker can improve detection rate and reduce false positive
Large number of detection targets, allowing for a significant increase in sensitivity
RNA is easily degraded, reducing false positiveion
No
RNA can be produced upon infection, which is earlier than the appearance of antibodies, so there is no window period for detection
Clinical Application

Assist Clinical Diagnosis of Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Infection

Children: Differential diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and other respiratory tract infections, etc.

Adults: For early diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in adults
